In Defense of Intolerance
An Essay by Dr. Sabri g. Bebawi
In the 2012 interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Bob Dylan was quoted, "If you got a slave master or Klan in your blood, blacks can sense that. That stuff lingers to this day. Just like Jews can sense Nazi blood and the Serbs can sense Croatian blood." His comments, which were in response to a question about race relations in the United States, annoyed Croatian. The Council of Croats in France then lodged an official complaint. The French Court later dismissed the case and decided to prosecute the director of the magazine because Dylan did not authorize the publishing of his comment.
This particular incident infuriates this writer. With globalization, we have become so irrationally sensitive to the word “tolerance” as though it were a holy word of sort. Germany prosecutes those intellectuals who shed the smallest light of doubt on the events of the holocaust; Europe and the US would prosecute any of us who would say anything against criminal Islamists; and Europeans are so sensitive about government policies toward the Romans in each respective country. What is the story?
We are erroneously, and dangerously, associating expressions of intolerance with expressions of hate. This association can lead only to more misdeeds and world problems. If we think of WWII and after, we will know how. It was the intolerance of the Nazis’ ideas and ideologies that lead to a safer world. It was the intolerance to the dictatorship of the ex-Soviet Union that lead to the collapse of dictatorial communism and the smashing of the Berlin Wall. It was the intolerance of The Nixon’s America that restored America’s democracy (for a while, at least). It was the intolerance of the ideology of John Edgar Hoover, the first Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the United States that saved hundreds of innocent people from a definite doom. And now, it is the intolerance of the NSA and the CIA, through the courageous and patriotic Edward Snowden, Julian Assange, and Manning that we now know how corrupt our American government is. An expression of intolerance is not an expression of hate. It is merely that, intolerance.
How may I be asked to tolerate Islamists who gave me a rifle as a child, in Egypt, and asked me to drink the blood of the Jews? How may I be asked to tolerate an ideology that incites not only hate, but also murder and mayhem, like the Islamist ideology? How may I be asked to tolerate an ideology that advocates “End Justifies the Means,” as Republican ideology does? How may I be asked to tolerate an ideology that advocates the idea “If you are poor in America, there is something wrong with you,” as the not-so-human president Reagan declared? How may I be asked to tolerate the KKK ideology that calls for murdering any person who is not of an “Arian” origin, as though we knew? How may I tolerate the NRA who claims that guns do not kill people? And how may I be asked to tolerate a large number of the Romans in Europe whose ideology is to steal, to rob, to pick-pocket, and to use children and babies as pawns? Is my intolerance hate, or pragmatism?
If, dear reader, you believe that my intolerance is hate, then I take that risk, though I disagree for I hate no one; I only detest intolerable ideologies. I think we need to reconsider our path of thinking and begin to understand that intolerance is the first step to being free of any and all evil ideologies.

Tolerance Vs. Stupidity
An Essay by Sabri Bebawi, LLB, PhD

COMMON SENSE (2)
With all due respect to the great Thomas Paine, I borrow the title of this piece of writing and perhaps some of his most significant ideas one of which is that “Government is a necessary evil.” I also borrow these great lines that resonate with that of which I want to convey to my fellow citizens at this time of turmoil and confusion, at this time of use and abuse by a government lead by a man named Donald Trump who has, since the beginning, shown nothing but contempt for America, its citizens, its Constitution and its basic rule of law, “In the following [lines] I offer nothing more than simple facts, plain arguments, and common sense; and have no other Preliminaries to settle with the reader, than that he will divest himself [or herself] of prejudice and prepossession, and suffer his [or her] reason and his [and her] feelings to determine for themselves; that he [and she] will put on, or rather that he [or she] will not put off the true character of a man, and generously enlarge his [or her] views beyond the present day.”
In January 2018, the world has experienced the darkest day in its modern history. A criminal gangster had been able to manipulate our society and practically buy the government and the White House; certainly he had not been alone; surely he had a large group of Las Vegas gangsters and world criminals such as Putin of the ex-Soviet Union KGB, working with and for him.
“The sun never shined on a cause of greater worth. 'This not the affair of a city, a county, a province, or a kingdom, but of a continent - of at least one eighth part of the habitable globe. 'This not the concern of a day, a year, or an age; posterity are virtually involved in the contest, and will be more or less affected, even to the end of time, by the proceedings now. Now is the seed-time of continental union, faith and honor. The least fracture now will be like a name engraved with the point of a pin on the tender rind of a young oak; the wound will enlarge with the tree, and posterity read it in full grown characters.”
Not to argue uselessly, but to state truth, Donald Trump is but the British Occupation of our beloved America before the year 1776. We the people of the United States do not intend to rid of this malignant force by the power the Second Amendment to the Constitution falsely and incorrectly gives us, but by peaceful means. Donald Trump and his Vegas Gangsters shall be removed from office peacefully and without incidents. It is only then that the United States of America will be free again and “Great Again.” And if that were not to happen, doom shall be the alternative. The United States of America shall be doomed to destruct itself and become way below ny third world country on the planet.
It is this writer’s duty to educate the people of the United States of the process by which Donald Trump can be removed from office: The Constitution specifically provides that THE ONLY way of removing a president is impeachment by Congress and conviction by the Senate (Chief Justice of the United States Presiding). Arguably, the President cannot even be criminally charged for anything he does while in office, and even if he was charged and convicted, this would not mean automatic removal from office, and he would either have to resign or be impeached. And of course, sadly, as it relates to civil litigation, a president would have immunity for any acts he committed under his authority as President. Donald Trump’s lawyers advised him of that. He himself does not know anything about America or its system. Example of that is that every single presidential order he issued was reversed by the courts except the first one which gave corporation the absolute right to use and abuse the citizens of the United States of America.
Donald Trump is as defiant and stupid as a goat. Robert Mueller, the special counsel leading the FBI's Russia probe, is now reportedly examining whether Trump committed obstruction of justice, according to the Washington Post.
And despite Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein's recent statement on not believing "anonymous sources," the president himself acknowledged in a furious Twitter thread that he is being investigated.
Given that obstruction of justice is what many Democrats -- including California House Rep. Maxine Waters -- hope will open the door to impeachment proceedings, reporters and politicians alike are smelling blood in the water. But, impeachment is a formal process with a lot of steps. We've written about it before.
While the House vote requires a simple majority, two-thirds of the Senate must vote to impeach in order for a president to be removed from office.
It is simply common sense, since Congress is so coward, that the other available route for the American people to take action Now, on the surface, it seems like Pence and the rest of the Cabinet members would simply have to determine that Trump is "unfit" for office, thereby making Pence President Pro Tempore. However, for now, it seems like the only hope lies with the legislative branch.
“Thus necessity, like a gravitating power, would soon form our newly arrived emigrants into society, the reciprocal blessings of which, would supersede, and render the obligations of law and government unnecessary while they remained perfectly just to each other; but as nothing but heaven is impregnable to vice, it will unavoidably happen, that in proportion as they surmount the first difficulties of emigration, which bound them together in a common cause, they will begin to relax in their duty and attachment to each other; and this remissness will point out the necessity of establishing some form of government to supply the defect of moral virtue.”

Dear Honorable President, Macron
I am Dr. Sabri Bebawi. It is a great privilege to script to your honour this rather significant and perhaps controversial message. I need to begin by informing you that I am one of your greatest admirers; I admire your intelligence, your wit, your intellect, your sense of humour, and your very person.
I have just returned from Paris, which I have always considered my home despite my regrettable naturalized American citizenship. France has always been in my heart since I had been a teenager and a young adult working as a journalist for the Arab Press Service, in Nicosia, Cyprus, which was associated with the French Press Agency.
Ever since, I have been visiting my home, Paris, twice each year. Each time I visited, I discovered inordinate unpleasant changes to my homeland. On this last visit, my wife and I could not even walk to half of my favourite part of Paris, Champs-Elysées. The reason(s) was that I felt I was in Saudi Arabia; this cannot be acceptable. I have even seen Salafis roaming the street freely; and even though France had made it illegal for women to wear Niqab, there were hundreds of such women roaming the streets freely.
Since I am originally a Copt, I do understand what those people are about and what they desire to do, which is the destruction of France as well as the whole western states. In fact, two years ago I reported to the National Police listening to a what I believed to have been a libyan diplomat
sharing in Arabic with a friend how easy it was to start a revolution and take France. Because I speak and understand Arabic well, as I am an Egyptian lawyer, I understand much of what those savage murderers are saying on the streets of Paris. Some harshly criticize how women are dressed; some harshly criticize French people in general; and some even use swearing words at the French. A French waiter once told me that those Arabs could spit on his (or any French person’s face) and nothing could be done because France is so sensitive about discrimination. Your honour, there is a huge difference between tolerance and stupidity. I believe what France is allowing is not tolerance; it is pure stupidity.
To begin with, the current laws of no Niqap is not enforced; secondly, Salafis, who are known around the world as being killers and terrorists, and who are severely fought and targeted by the president of Egypt, El Sisi, are seen throughout Paris. How can this be acceptable as tolerance?
This writer wishes that his beloved France act in the same manner Norway had acted recently - closing mosques, deporting religious leaders who incite hatred and violence and close all Islamic schools that train future militants.
I do, indeed, admire the law enforcement agencies of France; they are doing a great job; however, French people cannot live as hostages in their own country and France cannot be so militarized in the name of freedom and tolerance. Please note this comes from a very liberal
democrat American who considers the clinically insane US president-want-to-be, Donald Trump, to be evil terrorist in the world today.
Please do accept my message with an open heart and mind. I love France so dearly and I fear its demise under those savage Arab Islamists.
Respectfully
Sabri Bebawi

Stupidity Is Not A Bliss
Egypt has convicted three journalists from Aljazeera, two to seven-year imprisonment and one to ten years on the grounds of supporting the Moslem Brothers, who had been declared by the Egyptian authorities as a terrorist group. The Western world is up in arms condemning Egypt; surely it is not ignorance. It is hard for this writer to believe that the US, Australia and Europe could be that stupid politically.
First, we need to establish what the Moslem Brothers group is. I have grown up with them in Egypt when the lunatic president Sadat released them from the prison they were put in by the great president Gamal Abdul Nasser. The Moslem Brothers is a terrorist group who wishes to terrorize people into submitting to their evil, backward, thirteen-century style beliefs. I was in second year of law school in Egypt when all of a sudden my Muslim friends refused to talk to me, started growing beards and changed their outfit from a shirt and pants to a jalabia. They loathed us Christians and even my best friends became my enemies’ overnight.
The Muslim Brothers is a terrorist group that wants everyone in Egypt and the world to follow their evil ideology referred to as “Sharia.” In “Sharia,” which is a legal system, Islam’s Sharia law covers a wide range of subjects. The stipulations of the Sharia law, however, are unlike any other legal system in the world.
• Theft is punishable by amputation of the right hand (above).
• Criticizing or denying any part of the Quran is punishable by death.
• Criticizing or denying Muhammad is a prophet is punishable by death.
• Criticizing or denying Allah, is punishable by death.
• A Muslim who becomes a non-Muslim is punishable by death.
• A non-Muslim who leads a Muslim away from Islam is punishable by death.
• A non-Muslim man who marries a Muslim woman is punishable by death.
• A man can marry an infant girl and consummate the marriage when she is 9 years old.
• Girls’ clitoris should be cut (per Muhammad’s words in Book 41, Kitab Al-Adab, Hadith 5251).
• A woman can have 1 husband, but a man can have up to 4 wives.
• A man can unilaterally divorce his wife but a woman needs her husband’s consent to divorce.
• A man can beat his wife for insubordination.
• Testimonies of four male witnesses are required to prove rape against a woman.
• A woman who has been raped cannot testify in court against her rapist(s).
• A woman’s testimony in court, allowed only in property cases, carries half the weight of a man’s.
• A female heir inherits half of what a male heir inherits.
• A woman cannot drive a car, as it leads to fitnah (upheaval).
• A woman cannot speak alone to a man who is not her husband or relative.
• Meat to be eaten must come from animals that have been sacrificed to Allah – i.e., be Halal.
• Muslims should engage in Taqiyya and lie to non-Muslims to advance Islam.
And the list goes on and on and on.
Now back to the journalists. What in heaven’s name are the Western countries doing? What hypocrisy is this!!!! Let us look at some recent precedents that show the West’s hypocrisy and desire to destroy Egypt.
In 2006 protesters were convicted of distributing leaflets to Swedish high school students stating that homosexuality was a “deviant sexual proclivity,” had “a morally destructive effect on the substance of society,” and was responsible for the development of HIV and AIDS.
In 2008 a French cartoonist was convicted of publishing a drawing of the attack on the World Trade Center in a Basque newspaper with the caption, “We have all dreamed about it. Hamas did it.” The European Court of Human Rights affirmed all three convictions and rejected defenses based on freedom of speech.
In Poland a Catholic magazine was fined $11,000 for inciting “contempt, hostility, and malice” by comparing a woman’s abortion to the medical experiments at Auschwitz.
Dutch politician Geert Wilders was temporarily barred from entering Britain and labeled a “threat to public policy, public security, or public health” because he made a movie that called the Quran a “fascist” book and described Islam as a violent religion.
In France Brigitte Bardot was convicted of publishing a letter to the interior minister stating that Muslims were ruining France.
Furthermore Canada’s human rights tribunal has harassed magazines for making anti-Muslim statements and for republishing the infamous Danish Muhammad cartoons.
Also in Canada, Bill Whatcott was charged with promoting hate after he distributed flyers in Regina and Saskatoon in 2001 and 2002 that condemned gay sex as being immoral. The Saskatchewan Human Rights Tribunal found him guilty in 2005, but that decision was later appealed and overturned in 2010. The tribunal then appealed to the country’s top court. However, the court left in place the ban on speech that exposes, or tends to expose, persons or groups to hatred.
The idea here is that hate speech or acts (and the Muslim Brothers behead Christians in the streets), as well as writings that incite hate, are unlawful. The Quran is full of such writings as well as incitements to commit murder. Logically, then, they should be banned, and Egypt, as the cradle of civilization, did just that.
For Al Jazeera journalists to support the Muslim Brothers and their ideology, they are in breach of our civilized laws. Why the West is so angry and condemning Egypt, is beyond my comprehension.

Dear Mr. President
I do hope to receive a written formal response from your honor personally and not from one of the thousands of employees you have hired to take care of your affairs. Here, I am exercising my responsibilities as an American Citizen who is proud to be an American and who became an American citizen more than forty-five years ago by choice; this makes me more patriotic than anyone who was born here and is an American with no choice.
Mr. President, I wonder if you really believe in the things you say and you write on your Twitter account. Do you really believe in the mythical superman persona named Jesus?
You go around holding a book I doubt you have neither read nor in which you have faith. This citizen doubts it very much.
Mr. President, do you really believe that you are making America great? Do you ever wonder how destructive your ideas and policies have been for what already had been the great United States, and is now no longer great in the eyes of our allies and enemies – and many of our fellow citizens? Mr. President, I have no doubt that you shall have another four years of presidency; I shall vote for you as well as most of my friends. Will you show, during your next term, some respect and compassion for your fellow citizens and fellow humans?
I understand that this note might be disturbing and surprising to you; however, I have always respected and loved President Ronald Reagan and believed what he had told the, then, Soviet Premier Gorbachev: “The difference between America and the Soviet Union is that in America, a citizen can go to the Oval Office, pound on the desk of the President and say ‘Mr. President, I do not like the way you run our country.’ In the Soviet Union, a citizen would go to the Kremlin and pound on the desk of the Premier and say: ‘Mr. President, I do not like the way America is running its country.” Well, Mr. President, this writer does not like the way you are running our country and ask that you reconsider and have some respect for your fellow citizens and fellow humans.
Please do forgive me for my forwardness; I have great respect for you, your tolerance and intelligence. Additionally, I believe it is our duty as Americans to let our leader know what we are thinking.
I look forward to your written and personally signed positive reply.

Dr. Sabri g. Bebawi, LLB, PhD
California, United States of America
Honorable President of Great Egypt, General Abdel Fattah El-Sisi,
It is a great honor and a privilege to write this note to your honor. My name is Sabri Bebawi and I am only two years younger than you are. So, we are of the same great generation who know Egypt well and had lived in a great country not any different from France, Italy or England. Egypt was great then. No one knows how it has become such a chaotic country now; my only explanation is religion. Your Honor, whether the religion is Islam or Christianity, it does not matter; I believe everyone has the right to be stupid. However, I do not think that anyone has the right to impose his or her stupidity on others.
I have a dream that you will one day declare Egypt a secular country where religion should be a private matter not a public display. I have the greatest respect and veneration for you General El-Sisi; you have always reminded me of the great president Gamal Abdul-Nasser who deeply cared for Egypt and its people. I believe you do, too. All my friends who visit Egypt come back with horror stories of listening to Quran everywhere including elevators and taxis. Almost everyone in Egypt, Christian or Moslem, has his phone ringing either Christian prayers or Islamic Prayer; this is insanity, not fanaticism. This has to stop, if not by reason, by law and order. Please issue a decree to make religious practices in public illegal and that, although all faiths must be respected, it is a private, not a public, matter.
We must face the truth and realize that Egypt’s demise is a direct effect of religious madness. Population explosion with lack of resources, and in addition to a complete dependence on GOD has brought about disastrous effect that I, when I was a child, could see it coming, and that is why I left my beautiful Egypt 45 years ago and never looked back. But Egypt is in me and I am a Copt and hate Christian madness- I am an original Egyptian who have always had great love and respect for Egypt.
General El-Sisi, you are our salvation. You must declare Egypt a secular country so that people focus on developing our homeland rather than wasting their time praying to God, but nothing was brought to Egypt but famine.
You Honor, I am not attacking one religion or another, I am stating a philosophical viewpoint that I wish you would consider. You are a brave man who stood against the powerful evil of the United States which, through Hillary Clinton, tried to place a mentally challenged Islamist, Mohamad Morsi, into power; you have, fortunately for all Egyptians, succeeded and brought respect to our nation.
I thank you for reading and I wish you all the best as I haver always and will always admire you though I am now on my deathbed with serious diseases including cancer.
With utmost respect,
Dr. Sabri g. Bebawi

Trump on China's Xi consolidating power: 'Maybe we'll give that a shot some day'
On November 8, 2016, the whole world - except for the KKK members, the NRA members, the American Republican multi billionaires, the intellectually deprived born twice Evangelical Christian, and a few of my beloved Jews who were deceived and mislead – was in shock to know that the Fascist/ Nazi Donald Trump has succeeded in buying the White House. The world was speechless.
This writer has warned of a disaster and a complete change in the world order. He has warned that the United States of America was on the road of self-destruction and called upon France to take back the Statue of Liberty since its existence was the phoniest existence of anything in history. This writer knew who Donald Trump was and how dangerous, as a Las Vegas gangster and a son of a gangster, would be.
Sure enough, as soon as he entered the White House, he signed what is called a “presidential order” to allow companies and corporations to use, abuse and molest their employees anyway they wish and that all regulations were void and invalid. He advised that a corporation should not have more than two regulations regardless of how trivial they are. So, corporation enjoyed their jackpot and established silly regulations as “You have to wash your hand,” and “You have to close the toilette door after you had done with your business.” I was a victim of this “presidential order.” My pension was reduced and my medical insurance through the university where I was teaching before getting very ill and going on disability retirement at a young age doubled its premium without a cause or explanation. I had to drop the insurance despite my severe illness and continuous treatment for cancer and systemic Lupus with expensive chemotherapy.
Nevertheless, thank heavens that this “presidential order” was the only one that was not reversed by the courts. All other outrageous orders were challenged and reversed by the courts. This has been despite Donald Trump ignorance of the law and constant attempt to destroy the fiber of the US system of Checks and Balances. He constantly interfered in the Judicial Branch, threatened the Legislative Branch and, hence, became a dictator and his dream of being Hitler and Mussolini at the same time has materialized.
So, now the United States of America has become a Nazi and a Fascist State and neither of the two Branches of government is doing anything of substance. I have written to Senators and Congressmen and all I got was gibberish and empty promises. Now Donald Trump is like Putin in Russia and like Xi in China and Americans are in a coma. I resorted to become an expatriate until Americans wake up from their comma and imprison this traitor Donald (Shithole) Trump.
